7 May. Wala Island, Vanuatu. Pacific Dawn P&O Cruises

Thursday 7 May, on approach to Wala Island

Look at that. Sensational.
Clear water, reef and fishes.
Wala Island natives had a reputation as fierce warriors and cannibals.
Christian missionaries ended that, but as a consequence, the islands are unspoiled.

Wala Island, looking the other way, as we walk down the peir.
We went snorkeling down there and I found Nemo... And he bit my finger.

This is typical of all these little islands we go to. Natives selling trinkets, sarongs and other crap all made in China and vastly overpriced. But the kids are cute and the people are friendly and polite.

Another typical view of shore and ship.
It is pretty cool seeing that dirty great ship just sitting there.
